This episode is a mixed bag, The Hiyama family drama is actually kind of interesting Akane's mom being a fellow yandere explains a lot about where Akane got her tendencies. The apple rose carving is a striking visual, and the tragic romance between Kuzuha and her husband has some genuine pathos. If you're here for the chaos, you'll enjoy this episode. If you're hoping for meaningful character development, you'll be disappointed.

This anime is total chao and honestly I love it for that. Everything about it leans into clichés and tropes. But it turns them into something genuinely funny and entertaining.
