Emotionally the finale earns its moment, Chateau finally coming to terms with her own denial is satisfying character work. But the ending just... stops. No real closure on the overarching plot, just a cliffhanger. Watch it I guess for the character payoff, not resolution.
The perfect conclusion to a rollercoaster of a story. I came into this anime with low expectations, and by the second half it blew them out of the water with tension, clever mystery and a compelling drama between the protagonists. All in all, I'd say it was worth it.
