This anime makes me miss the original Love Live. I'll be honest: the song isn't as catchy as the original Love Live, but it has its own charm. And the camera movements and the animation are so Love Live. They're so good!
Ho ho ho! Welcome to our School Idol tour once again, folks! We're back with Superstar Season 2. As with my previous message, imma need you to watch the 1st season first so you can get the full context here. Okay, so we got a lot of new characters here, and they're really fresh i suppose. They bring a brand new vibe and a very diverse set of personalities. Unlike the OGs (μ’s & Aqours), where most of the characters kinda follow similar patterns, Superstar really gives each character their own identity. The 1st season was already cooking, especially with them losing in the district selection. The story actually letting them fail first was such a good move. Failure first, huh? Okay, yap aside, imma jump into this episode's pluses. First of all, the environment is easily one of the best aspects of this season. They fricking improved the environmental animation so much here. I mean, Nijigasaki did a pretty good job improving this aspect too, but here we get a crazy amount of interactions between the characters and the people around them. The world actually feels more alive, and that's a massive W. The concert they brought into this episode was kinda unnecessary tbh, but alright, whatever they wanna do lel. The songs are great tho. And that opening? Absolutely goated.
I really enjoyed this episode because it was filled with so many wholesome and lighthearted moments around Kinako. She was easily the highlight for me since her personality made many of her interactions with Kanon and the others so funny to watch. Sumire and Tang's interactions throughout each scene also made this episode more enjoyable because it frequently showed them bickering with each other.
