Episode Context

This is Episode 1 of 26, so everything here is foundational, there is no prior history to draw from, only setup. The episode introduces the three leads and establishes the core premise of Kane's trouble-contracting operation, laying the relational groundwork that the rest of the season will build on. Episode 2, 'The Goddess Flies,' picks up directly from here, pushing the newly formed trio into their next challenge and beginning to test whether their partnership holds under pressure.
