Little Busters! ~Refrain~

Watched the first season blind, assumed it was kind of cliche so I wasn't paying close attention. Then after Refrain, it recontextualized everything. The small details I missed last time has me tearing up.

This episode sure was something. Dramatic, sad, and very intense. Things shifted fast and I did not expect that pace. Last episode left and very curious how the finale wraps this up.

This feels like the finale already despite having two more episodes left. Even if I still don't care much about the baseball stuff it adds something to the story, I'll give it that. Very sad but well-handled development. Bracing myself for what's left to come.

Mostly a recap of everything so far through Kyousuke's monologues. It's painful to watch him struggle this much. Heavy, dark buildup episode.

Emotional episode. Even without caring much about baseball, that was a pretty good game. Rin and Riki both did great! Still completely in the dark about what this whole mystery is building toward though, at this point I'm just along for the ride.

The flashbacks to their childhood are touching, they were such cute little brats back then! Masato's backstory wasn't as heavy as I expected, which is a nice surprise. Curious to see how the rest of the cast gets their moment.

Rin and Riki playing catch was fun! But something is clearly being hidden from the two of them specifically and everyone else is acting off, Kyousuke included. A bit lost on what's actually going on here.

Very intense episode that broke something fundamental about the group. The scene in the rain hit especially hard. Didn't see this version of Kyousuke coming and it really shook me. Heavy episode, brace yourself.

Scared to watch the rest of Refrain because I might end up crying... That cat clearly matters more than it seems, and need to know the reasons why Kyousuke did what he did. Interesting development all around.

Those two are so cute together <3 even if it kicked off kind of suddenly. This episode raised even bigger questions than before. Curious where the biggest mystery of this series is actually heading.

This episode destroyed me. Felt like I was dreaming while watching it too. The soundtrack timing on those emotional beats is doing serious damage. Development this route was really great, and the ending hit hard for me. Now I'm worried about what happens to Kurugaya :(

Never had my opinion of a character flip this fast. Kurugaya went from background character to top tier waifu this season. Love how she teases Riki, though it's hard to tell if she's just having fun or actually into him. Nice episode with romantic development and a little complication underneath. Easily best girl now.

What a powerful start! Kurugaya here is an absolute BEAST. Amazing raw expressions coming from those girls. The production quality in ~Refrain~ sure jumped significantly. The animation, the pacing, and soundtrack. Almost everything here surpasses the previous season. Welcome back, Little Busters! ⚾

The series is good, and it talks about life and friendship. 😊 Some episodes felt unclear or hard to understand at first, but everything will be clear in future episodes. 🤔✨ Overall - Friendship, uplifting, hidden life lessons, 9/10 👍🌟

Awesome and satisfying conclusion. Kyousuke is the real hero, what he did to save everyone. 🙌✨ Overall — happy ending, 10/10! 🎉🎬

Rin and Riki return to the real world. 🌏✨ The episode is very heavy, making me emotional. 😢💔 Overall — heavy but hopeful, 9/10 ❤️🙌

This was a highly optimistic ending. I can't really say I wanted a different outcome for Riki and the rest of the Little Busters. It was really nice seeing them go on that trip finally... and Kengo with his silly little dance. A 7/10 overall - optimistic but wholesome af.

Again, insanely emotionally intense. It makes sense why Kyousuke wanted to prepare them for the reality they were about to face. Really proud of the way Rin was able to come out of the shackles that bound her and actually face her reality.

Kengo really has had a lot of change in his personality from the start, from the cool and composed to an absolute crybaby. Finally, we're at that point where everything is revealed. Quite emotionally intense, the voice acting was great this episode.

This episode is basically a recap of everything that has happened so far, but from Kyousuke's perspective. It's an easy skip, but there are parts of the episode that reveal a bit of the greater mystery of this world that Kyousuke is trying to get Riki to unravel.
