Episode Context

Coming directly off 'The Truth Revealed,' which brought long-held secrets and confrontations to a head, this episode serves as the full emotional reckoning for everything that preceded it, closing out Cosette's journey from hardship to belonging, and Jean Valjean's lifelong pursuit of redemption. As the 52nd and final episode, it sets up nothing beyond itself; this is the destination the entire series was building toward.
