📖 SYNOPSIS
"Les Misérables: Shoujo Cosette" depicts the struggles of a single mother and her daughter in early 19th-century France. Facing societal prejudice, the mother and Cosette search for work and shelter. Promised a better life in the city, Cosette is cruelly separated from her mother and placed with a corrupt caretaker who forces her into servitude. Witnessing the hardships faced by children and families, the kind mayor of Cosette's new town recognizes the detrimental impact of these circumstances.
