📖 SYNOPSIS

"Les Misérables: Shoujo Cosette" depicts the struggles of a single mother and her daughter in early 19th-century France. Facing societal prejudice, the mother and Cosette search for work and shelter. Promised a better life in the city, Cosette is cruelly separated from her mother and placed with a corrupt caretaker who forces her into servitude. Witnessing the hardships faced by children and families, the kind mayor of Cosette's new town recognizes the detrimental impact of these circumstances. The anime explores themes of poverty, exploitation, and the fight for justice in a time of great social inequality.
