Episode Context

Coming directly off the premiere's world-building and faction introductions, this episode immediately puts both the Galactic Empire and the Free Planets Alliance under combat pressure, forcing their leaders to prove themselves rather than simply be introduced. It functions as the series' true opening statement on war, command, and consequence. The outcome and decisions made here establish a foundation that subsequent episodes will interrogate, politically, militarily, and personally, as the rivalry between these two sides deepens.
