Probably the best episode so far, as we get a glimpse into the backstory of one of our main characters and the episode is full of great action and emotions. Pacing was much better and the visuals for certain scenes remain stunning.
I won't complain about sidequesting as it's necessary to show the tension between countries even on the countdown of world ending, as it was also the reason Skinner made his decision as he don't see hope in humanity anymore with the neverending conflict. And we also get to learn about Chris's backstory, so no complains.
We finally get a Chris-centric episode as we dive into her background. There's nothing wrong with side-quest in order to care about Chris as a character, but her motivation is something I find predictable. Chris also has done very few scenes that allows the Lazarus members to be emotionally attached to her. The little information they know about her doesn't allow assumption to be made by the characters nor the audience for us to be shock by the revelation of her past. Outside of that, the rescue mission makes the episode fun and interesting.
