First and foremost, let me just say, as someone who plays DnD, seeing and just thinking about an escort mission, makes me want to gag, because how terrible they usually goes, so what happened here isn't surprising lol. Beside that, I like how subtle the writing for Lavie character is, she's headstrong, but also caring in her own way, at the same time I feel like she's a bit sensitive to how Al is reacting to things, which made me wonder about her backstory. But the highlight is definitely the atmosphere and how the studio was able to play with it. All in all, a great episode, with a cliffhanger to boot!

I understand Lavie’s feelings here. She just wants her and Claus to be safe, but the kindness in her heart remains. I also appreciate Claus’s bravery despite not knowing what is hunting them. I like the animation of the new unidentified vanship, though it looks like a star or a mantis to me. Haha

The whimsical music playing in the background didn't quite fit the scene, thought it was a bit cute, and silly all things considered. I figured out Claus's plan beforehand, and why he gave the order to Lavie, but most of the time nothing goes according to plan. The animation used for the probe reminds me of Zoids, and how the round faces are drawn has me thinking of Fullmetal Alchemist. Great cliffhanger by the way, you would not have expected it!
