For me, the main character energy of Phos really does show off in the episode since he was allowed by Kongo-sensei. It's another refreshing episode since there's a new environment to explore and new character to meet.

This episode introduces Antarcticite, while also showcasing the harsh winter season and the unique threats that come with it. There’s a compelling "student and teacher" dynamic between Phos and Antarcticite, which adds emotional depth to the story. It further explores Phos’s ongoing struggle with her sense of purpose and her own limitations. The episode builds up nicely and delivers a surprisingly impactful twist at the end.

Winter has come for the Gems, and we're introduced to a new character keeping watch for them all - Antarc. I didn't expect there'd still be threats looming even in this season for them... Phos especially needs to be so careful around ice floes with their condition.
