Episode 7 is a calm and relaxing episode after the last battle with Villagulio. The episode focuses on the trio getting closer together and explores Villagulio and Muginami's past.
It's quite an emotional episode. Muginami's backstory is actually quite sad. Also, the girls developing a familial bond with each other is cute. Their growing relationship with each other is a nice character development. The ending scene is heartwarming to watch.
This episode slows things down a bit after the recent action and focuses more on the emotional side of the characters. Madoka spends a lot of time trying to keep everyone together while tensions continue to build beneath the surface. Lan in particular feels more conflicted than before, and you can tell she’s starting to question where her loyalties really belong. The cloudy weather throughout the episode feels symbolic of the uncertainty hanging over the group. Even though there isn't a huge battle, the episode does a good job developing relationships and showing how the ongoing conflict is affecting everyone personally. It feels like a setup episode, but an important one because it gives the characters room to breathe before the next major developments. By the end, you get the sense that the calm won't last much longer.
