Lagrange: The Flower of Rin-ne Episode 3: Lan Blooms in Kamogawa

Episode 3 continues the fight Madako was fighting . We also get to see Lan overcome her fear and activate her vox to full potential. As all the fighting ends, we get to see both girls' friendships getting stronger

A better paced episode with a nice flow of the story. Lan is finally showcased in this episode, making it known that there is something more to her. Madoka's love for her hometown also shows in this episode. It also feels like a start of a friendship between the two girls. The story is also picking up. Can't wait for the next episode.

This episode feels like the story is finally starting to connect properly. Madoka is still doing her usual thing, running around helping people without thinking too much, but you can tell things around her are getting more serious.

Lan being introduced properly changes the vibe a bit. She’s way more calm and controlled compared to Madoka, and it kind of makes Madoka stand out even more as this impulsive, “jump first, think later” type. Their interactions feel like they’re building something important for later.

The mecha side also feels more present now instead of just being random interruptions. It’s still not full action-heavy, but there’s definitely a clearer direction forming. Like, you can tell the peaceful Kamogawa life is slowly going to clash with something bigger.

What I liked most is how Lan doesn’t feel like just a typical side character. She feels like she knows more than she’s saying, which makes her scenes more interesting to watch.

Overall, this episode feels like setup, but in a more focused way compared to earlier ones. It’s slowly locking the pieces into place.
