Kunon the Sorcerer Can See Episode 12: Fairies Checking the Answer

Kunon pens a letter to his fiancée, detailing his first month at Derasic Magic City. He sits blindfolded at his desk, his quill scratching across the parchment with elegant script. He mentions adapting to school life and striving to become a worthy gentleman for her. The camera then shows the grand academy, an imposing edifice of learning.

In a series of grayscale, dreamlike flashbacks, Kunon recalls making friends at school. We see him in a bubble alongside other students, talking with Rinko, and sitting at a table with Lyle and Mirika. He even accepts food from Hank and reads alongside Laila, his maid. These moments paint a picture of a peaceful, social integration.

The flashbacks continue, now in vibrant color. Kunon is writing when Rinko exclaims, startled by the sudden appearance of Elias Helson, a pink-haired girl. Elias, full of bright confidence, introduces herself as representing the "Strength" faction and invites Kunon to join. Rinko is utterly captivated by Elias's beauty. Kunon, despite his blindness, responds with charming flirtation, saying he's more interested in her than the faction.

Back in the present, Rinko sits in a magic bubble, explaining the school's three factions: Strength, Reason, and Harmony. She describes their past as fierce rivals. Kunon listens intently, asking for more details, which frustrates Rinko as her magical control falters. She apologizes, noting that she still gets passionate about magic. She then expresses her happiness doing experiments with Kunon, highlighting their comfortable relationship.

Suddenly, Elbadagul Light appears, alluring and confident, inviting Kunon to join her "Harmony" faction. Rinko is again mesmerized, describing Elbadagul as "bewitchingly beautiful." Kunon kneels dramatically, declaring his willingness to follow her wishes, much to Rinko's shock. Yet, once Elbadagul has departed, Kunon calmly critiques her unstable magic, revealing his analytical mind beneath the chivalrous exterior. He dismisses Rinko's concern about joining two factions, suggesting he does not intend to be "two-timing."

Mirika Huglia then appears, sweet and inviting, asking Kunon to join her "Reason" faction. Rinko is once more utterly smitten, praising Mirika's beauty. Mirika looks frustrated as Kunon appears to evaluate her magic, then he bluntly responds, "No, I don't want to." Both Mirika and Rinko are shocked. Rinko then traps Kunon in a bubble, scolding him for his bluntness.

Later, Kunon stands alone on the large green lawn. The camera pans slowly towards the school building under a hooting owl and chirping crickets. He looks disheartened, reflecting on the day's events.

Rinko and Kunon argue in a hallway, with Rinko chiding him for his behavior, especially regarding Mirika. She wishes he would listen to a lady's plea. Kunon then encounters Arian, smiling happily. He explains to Rinko that a true gentleman would never refuse a lady's invitation, going so far as to claim he would look at her face twice if she were a lady, even though he cannot see. Hank looks stunned by this declaration.

Lyle van Clauvenburg explains to Kunon that the three factions would not tolerate him joining all of them. Kunon looks disappointed, but nods in understanding. The camera emphasizes their troubled expressions.

Night falls, and the "Strength" faction celebrates Kunon's supposed recruitment. Beryl Carekton drinks heartily, praising Elias as the "goddess of beauty" for securing a new recruit. Other students flirt with Elias, who appears embarrassed. Shirley also seeks praise. Junebis then appears, teasing Sandra about her fierce demeanor and asking if she’s energetic from eating meat, fueling Sandra's fury.

The atmosphere shatters as Sandra shouts at Junebis, then the leaders of all three factions converge. Lyle, Beryl, Mirika, Elbadagul, and their deputies confront Kunon, who remains smiling despite the chaos. Lyle reveals Kunon agreed to join all three factions. Everyone is utterly shocked and bewildered by this unprecedented situation. Beryl comments that "something amazing has arrived."

After the day's commotion and chaos, the scene returns to the peaceful image of the anime-style house under a full moon. Inside, Kunon sleeps soundly in his bed, hugging a teddy bear, completely undisturbed by the uproar he has caused.
