The animation looked a bit smoother during the Hiori dribbling scene but seeing that same Isagi miss clip three times was really distracting and lazy

I was losing it when Isagi saw Karasu coming and used that blind spot to steal the ball and then finally got his goal after that first miss

Shidou basically flew with those demon wings and that spinning shot was actually insane and he looks totally unstoppable in the box

That ending in the manager office felt like a complete shift for the series and now things are getting way more serious between them

This episode really leaned into the psychological side of their power struggle, and seeing her finally break down under pressure was the most memorable part.

Her reputation crumbling while he just stood there watching was a bit harsh but she really did bring it on herself

The smug look on her face disappearing when I saw him pull out the recording was the best moment so far

The lighting in the warehouse scene really helped set a darker tone for his revenge and it made the whole confrontation feel much heavier

I'm usually not into these kinds of revenge plots but seeing him finally flip the script on that coworker was satisfying because those rumors were ruinous. The way the animation shifts when he gets her alone in the office shows just how much he's been holding back and it makes the shift in power feel a lot more impactful than the earlier episodes.

She tried to act all innocent while the protagonist cornered her and that made the whole revenge angle feel earned for once

That scene where he shows her the evidence and her face just drops was definitely the highlight of the episode

I think that department store manager finally got what he wanted and seeing Haruka realize she was trapped felt pretty intense

Those rumors backfiring on her in the breakroom felt like a long time coming and the voice acting really sold her frustration

Shidou getting those demon wings on his back before hitting that crazy reverse shot showed he really is a nightmare to guard in the penalty box and the visuals there were actually decent

The music that started playing when Isagi locked in for that final goal really made my skin crawl in a good way and I am glad he finally got that win

Rin and Shidou screaming at each other for ninety percent of the match while Isagi just used their toxic energy to find his own opening was hilarious because of how mad they got

You can tell the animation looks better now that the characters actually move their arms and legs while running and the hair physics during Shidou's goal were a huge step up from last week

Watching Isagi enter that flow state and seeing the whole field differently worked for me because he actually managed to outplay Rin and Shidou at the same time

The rumors plotline actually pays off here because Haruka was being such a jerk in the earlier episodes and seeing her get put in her place by the guy she was trying to ruin felt like a solid conclusion and the voice actress did a great job sounding genuinely scared when he cornered her in the department store after hours

It is wild how much she was talking trash about him in the beginning, so seeing him take control in the storage room was a big moment

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at the three-quarter mark of a four-episode series, this episode functions as the climactic buildup before the finale. It follows the groundwork laid in Episodes 1 and 2, where character dynamics and core scenarios were introduced and escalated. Episode 3 is expected to bring those threads to their peak intensity, directly setting the stage for Episode 4's conclusion.
