The romance is a real slow burn, but you can feel the progress in their dynamic. There are some cute Chika x Houzuki and Takezou x Kurusu moments too. The tournament finally kicks off, and the first performance is beautiful, with a backstory that hits emotionally.

Visually stunning episode with an impactful storyline and an incredible soundtrack. The theme of using music as an escape was explored deeply in this episode, which made some moments difficult to watch, but also incredibly powerful and emotionally impactful.

Music is undoubtedly a powerful storyteller, as it embodies the emotions, experiences, and struggles, all of which this episode has perfectly executed. Moreover, those emotionless eye shifts are precisely animated, as they essentially emphasize the characters' depth. Plus!! I am loving those subtle glimpses of romance in this story!!

Episode Context

Sitting at episode 11 of 13, this is the critical bridge between the character-building training camp and the season's climactic competition arc. The bonds forged and skills sharpened across the previous episodes are now put into direct context against rival competitors, escalating the emotional and dramatic stakes. Everything from here channels toward the Kanto Region festival, positioning the final two episodes as the payoff this entire season has been building toward.
