Summer episodes are really heartwarming and enjoyable. It's nice that Komi gets to bond with her family and also go to a festival with her friends. The development she went through is very admirable especially with her anxiety and all. Overall, it’s a very wholesome ep!

First of all, I'm so happy and proud of Komi! You can really tell the progress she has made since the beginning and it makes me so happy. Then getting to see more interactions with family, progression with her and Tadano and the wrap to their summer!

Episode Context

Sitting at the two-thirds mark of the season, Episode 8 continues the summer break stretch that began around Episode 7's pool and library outings, shifting focus from friend-group fun to Komi's family life and personal world. It serves as a transitional piece, wrapping up the carefree summer arc while laying emotional groundwork for the return to school and the social challenges that come with it. The familial warmth and quiet growth here give Komi a stronger foundation heading into the season's final act.
