Norio is quite a snoop. Fortunately, ever since he's been out of action, Nagate has been having quite a good win streak. However, I don't think this jolly good time is gonna last forever. I also love how both Midori and Izana were trying to pry him away from the creepy ena - especially with it trying to copy Hoshijiro's mannerisms and everything. Props to Numi for figuring out the potential storm before the calm fr.
It completely feels like the calm before the storm, which becomes incredibly obvious by the end of the episode. While Tanikaze is getting well-deserved recognition, watching the placenta in the laboratory feels deeply unsettling. Honestly, throughout the whole episode, I just had this lingering feeling that something is very off.
Such an underhanded beauty this episode was. It has layers of anticipation building up to something big. It also focuses on character interactions still, but I feel like at this point maybe there could be some form of urgency all things considered. We'll see how that direction pans out later.
