Honestly, nothing much happened in this episode. Just more of the usual running around and slapstick humor that barely lands. The pacing is dragging. The female lead is heavily sexualized for absolutely no reason and it’s just unnecessary and distracting.

There are a few animation drops right from the start of this episode. It's a bit funny that Lilithea is seated somewhat away from Sakuya in the movie. Again, the crime was solved a bit too quickly for my liking. The ending created a mystery about a specific character.

I can't believe Sakuya pulled that switcheroo with the perfume and the seats. He really got the killer good. That was clever

This show is just getting more ridiculous. Wanting to murder someone over a movie scene is so dumb

Sakuya died again, surprise surprise. No real stakes when you know he's just gonna pop back up

Chardina buying out the entire street to escape was hilariously extra. Money really solves everything I guess

Lilithea's concern for Sakuya is always sweet she really cares about him

I'm kinda bummed the detective work feels so rushed this episode, like they just wanted to get to the 'Seven Old Men' reveal. I keep hoping for a real puzzle but it's just quick solutions right after a death. It makes it hard to feel any suspense you know?

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming off the two-episode 'Queen Irie Murder Case' that opened the series, this episode marks the first true standalone arc shift, signaling the show's anthology-adjacent rhythm while building out its wider cast. The Crimson Theater setting introduces new players and layers of intrigue that appear to have staying power beyond a single episode. It functions as both a breather from the debut arc and a deliberate expansion of the world surrounding Sakuya's investigations.
