That was intense...from the expectation of the cover, though I do appreciate the tone between the team members in the show. The music direction is phenomenal, and the visuals are great! The plot is nothing to write about in my opinion bu the visuals and music make it worth watching
This is a different beast from Season 1. If you were hoping for more lighthearted slice-of-life with shipgirl antics, you're in the wrong place. This is a war drama about a suicide mission, and the weight of that decision hangs over everything.
A much darker and tense start compared to the first season as we're immediately greeted with Shigure flashback of the war. I can't say much with the first episode, but the animation quality can't even be compared to the first one, It's a mega upgrade. I hope we can see more substansial weight on the Kanmusu story.
