Episode Context

Episode 8 continues the Mount Kurama storyline that ramped up in the previous installment, 'The God Goes to Mount Kurama,' where Nanami and her companions faced their first wave of challenges on the sacred mountain. This episode deepens the group's mission to reach Kurama's ailing father, pushing the narrative forward while building obstacles that directly set up episode 9, 'The God Is Blindsided,' where complications are expected to escalate significantly.
