EPISODE REVIEWS

This episode features many exciting action sequences. Furthermore, it seems Tomoe is gradually realizing his true feelings for Nanami. Unfortunately, the battle between the God of War and Tomoe, in his yokai form, was not shown, and the messenger sent by Izanami to pursue Nanami and Kirihito gave up too easily. Nevertheless, the episode boasts a strong storyline overall.

LONG HAIR TOMOE! LONG HAIR TOMOE! I desire so little besides this visual. I'm curious to see how the rest of Izumo will be with Tomoe around.

Episode Context

This is the second half of a Netherworld arc that began in episode 3, 'The God Falls Into the Netherworld,' continuing directly from where Nanami's descent left off. Sitting at the one-third mark of the season, the episode builds critical momentum toward episode 5, 'The God Makes Her Second Romantic Confession,' where the emotional fallout of Nanami's Netherworld actions begins to reshape the central relationship dynamics. It's a pivotal bridge episode that deepens both the supernatural worldbuilding and the Nanami-Tomoe bond heading into the season's middle stretch.
