EPISODE REVIEWS

It wastes no time and delivers the exact same high quality, hilarious, and surprisingly heartfelt content we fell in love with. The decision to open with a Hayasaka focused segment was genius it immediately establishes that the supporting cast is going to be just as important this season, and they are. Ishigami gets more screen time, Chika is at peak chaotic energy, and the dynamic between Kaguya and Shirogane is as adorable and frustrating as ever.

Episode Context

As the season two premiere, this episode reintroduces the Shuchiin Academy student council and resets the battlefield for a new round of romantic mind games between Kaguya and Shirogane. It establishes the comedic tone and multi-segment structure that will carry through all twelve episodes while planting early seeds for character development, particularly for Hayasaka. Everything here is foundation-laying, designed to welcome returning viewers back into the war and signal that the emotional and comedic stakes are only going up from here.
