Junpei and Yuji's friendship feels real here in a way that makes you nervous. There's something genuinely tender about two people who feel like outsiders just hanging out at a house watching movies. The shadow over it all makes it harder to enjoy, which is the whole point.

Things went pitch black this episode. I really hope Junpei isn’t a lost cause, but the horror vibes are suffocating now. The way the sorcerers and curses manipulate human emotion is a massive flex in writing. The tension is at an all-time high.

Mahito is calm but unsettling in how easily he gets into Junpei’s mind. Junpei’s emotions feel raw and human, which makes the whole situation harder to watch. It’s less about action and more about how quietly things fall apart

The visualization of cursed energy gets me every time, I enjoy seeing the representation of it. The start leaves me wanting more, later I get a nice warm fuzzy feeling, but then pulls a 180 on me. Why you making me pause to find the tissues?
