Jujutsu Kaisen: The Culling Game Part 1 Episode 1
⚡ ALL REVIEWS
The cinematography is truly a feast for the eyes. The audio also creates a sense of tension when the curses appear. I especially loved the debates between characters like the Zenin family over who should be the successor. I felt like I was part of the tension of that meeting..
It does exactly what a first episode should — establish the season’s direction, introduce new characters for upcoming episodes, and set up the main characters’ goals in the unique Jujutsu Kaisen style we love.
A strong and intense opening. The episode quickly explains the Culling Game rules while showing how serious the situation has become. The tone feels darker and more urgent than before. It’s mostly setup, but the tension is already high. You can feel that this arc won’t hold back.
The Shibuya Incident escalates as a targeted execution order shifts battlefield priorities. Alliances are tested while sorcerers navigate layered threats within the barrier. Tactical decisions become urgent as objectives conflict with survival under mounting pressure.
The game begins with intense stakes. Yuji, Megumi, and the others face off against powerful opponents while navigating deadly rules. New alliances form, and mysteries unfold as the battle for survival escalates, setting the stage for chaos.
Episode 1 of the Culling Game arc is a strong and strategic opening. It sets the stage for intense battles, emotional conflicts, and high-stakes decisions. If this is just the beginning, fans are in for one of the most ruthless arcs in Jujutsu Kaisen.
The Culling Game starts and it’s basically a deadly battle royale. Sorcerers are trapped in different areas and have to fight to earn points. Those points can change the rules, so it’s not just about being strong —it’s about being smart. Trust is risky, and survival is everything
Great start for episode one of the arc. The authentic Mappa's style animation you can enjoy. Must watch the movie to get into the series.
Feels like a serious reset after everything that happened earlier in the story. The tone is heavier and more tense right from the start, and you can tell the stakes are much higher now. It doesn’t rush into nonstop action but instead focuses on setting up.
The Culling Game Part 1 opens like a storm front, quiet tension before chaos. Smart exposition slips in through character beats, raising stakes without overload. The vibe is chess before bloodshed setting a grim game board and vast that feels personal.
A somber shift in tone as the series moves from the wreckage of Shibuya into the high-stakes Culling Game. Excellent desaturated visuals capture the new post-apocalyptic reality. Pacing is deliberate, effectively emphasizing the strategic vacuum left in the world.
The transition from Shibuya arc to Culling Game is somehow great. With the maturity of the characters makes the anime dark and intense. Great starts for a new anime arc
yuji , Megumi Fushiguro enter Culling Game with split-objective strategy: gather intel, secure points, avoid unnecessary kills. Megumi prioritizes locating allies and manipulating rules, while Yuji prepares for forced combat, balancing morality with survival inside
