In Shibuya, everyone feels to be in constant survival mode, but it is also a cocoon for their metamorphic transition for what is coming next. As Mahito and team charge forward with unhinged moves through their despicable powers, it all becomes an emotional affair for Gojo’s sorcerers as they refuse to give up while still risking a lot to lose. Ocho and Itadori’s fight seemed like a never-ending dilemma, while a sweet surprise is just waiting around the corner.

A high-speed confrontation that emphasizes adaptability and instinct. The choreography feels sharp and aggressive.

Unexpected outcome, but what a fight. I love how detailed the animation was, especially how Choso used his technique and how it was narrated throughout the battle.

Incredible combat choreography, but the "memory" trope felt like a bit of a cop-out. The fight itself is a visual flex, but the explanation for why it ended the way it did felt a bit disjointed. Even with the CGI being obvious, the raw intensity is still top-tier.

Todo shows up and the energy in the room shifts instantly. His friendship with Yuji is actually one of the best dynamics this show has and this episode leans into it. Fight sequence is creative and fast. Pure fun wrapped in genuine stakes. <3

The animation is definitely top tier. The battle between Itadori and Choso is intense from start to finish and the memory twist leaves you confused but hyped. It ends in a way that makes you immediately want to know what happens next in this already chaotic arc.

The fight really feels properly paced, as we are able to see the capabilities of yuji as becoming a grade 1 sorcerer. Despite the adversary he is able to survive and think og ways to fight.

The subway duel. Graphics for Choso’s "Piercing Blood" are fluid and lethal. The suspense ends on a massive cliffhanger with Yuji’s "fake" family memory

peak battle animation. Epic battle with very good highlight colors and the long fight scene alone made me watch super seriously. Every punch is executed with very amazing animation.

My word! Wow. Cmon this is a chefs kiss episode. PURE ACTION. You can tell Choso put his all into this fight with Yuji considering his feelings toward Eso and Kechizu’s deaths. As for the cliffhanger, it seems these females have some plans for Yuji’s body. Mahn Next EPISODE!!

Choso vs Yuji is BLOODY and BRUTAL and I was stressed the entire runtime. The blood manipulation choreography is elite this fight has no right being this creative. And then that ENDING scene with Choso?? The most unexpected emotional gut-punch of the arc. Genuinely said "huh??"

Shibuya is pure chaos as curses and sorcerers clash. I was completely drawn into the tension and dread this episode builds. The mix of strategy, unexpected attacks, and the city feeling like a trap had me holding my breath and genuinely thrilled the entire time.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting right at the midpoint of the 23-episode season, 'Red Scale' narrows the Shibuya Incident arc's sprawling chaos into a singular confrontation after Episode 12 saw Yuji and Megumi working to dismantle a sorcerer-trapping veil. This duel with Choso marks a pivotal escalation in Yuji's personal stakes within Shibuya, and its outcome directly shapes the trajectory of the arc's second half as threats continue to multiply across the district.
