Episode Context

As the first episode of the Egypt arc (and the second half of Stardust Crusaders), this marks the decisive transition from the globe-trotting journey format into the final stretch toward DIO's stronghold. The preceding season established the crew's bonds and Stand abilities through episodic encounters; now those foundations get tested against increasingly deadly adversaries. This episode sets the template for the Egypt arc's heightened intensity, introducing both new allies and the caliber of enemies standing between the Crusaders and their ultimate confrontation.
