This episode of the female character-focused shoujo anime features absurd comedy while showing Kotoko gradually getting closer to Irie. However, Irie’s “wingman” mom feels unnatural, as her character writing doesn’t align with typical parental behaviour.

This ep is a total classic rom-com setup and the tension is already building. We finally get the character depth needed to see Naoki as more than just a genius jerk, and the living situation adds so much flavor.
