The character introductions and instant conflicts make for a great hook. The emotional beginning is realistic and heartfelt for our MCs. As well as a mystery running deep in the background, shows good writing.

A solid overall first episode of the series. The characters are likeable, the setting is interesting, and atmosphere is vibrant. I'm liking what I'm seeing so far, and I'm looking forward to watching more of the series!
