Irresponsible Captain Tylor OVA

It's a pretty interesting concept. Finally the war and action took place here! Tylor and Yamamoto handled the situation. We got to see a lot of characters because the episode was 50 minutes long! There were certain parts that felt boring and the humor felt cringe, but overall the storyline wasn't that bad.

This episode mostly focused on the tension that had been building, and I guess the war will break out in the next episode. All sides were preparing for war. Not much interesting happened since there weren't any fight scenes yet.

It focuses on Yamamoto's moment and the flashback of the previous captain, Kogure. It was heartwarming while Yamamoto idolized him. Just a slow-paced episode before leaving us with a cliffhanger at the end!

It's a pretty interesting concept because Yuriko is so smart in this episode, unlike Tylor. The kidnapping scene, intense scenes, and action scenes managed to keep us hooked until the end. There's a Tylor moment at the end that left us on a cliffhanger!

It's a Christmas-themed episode and the objective was for Tylor to meet Yuriko. But along the way there were obstacles that prevented him from meeting her immediately. The MC is so naive and there's unnecessary dragging. I guess that's the whole point of this anime. Not much interesting, skippable.

Its main appeal lies in the perfect balance between the silly humor that defines the series and moments of genuine emotional resonance.

The visual direction and cinematography in this episode deserve high praise. The melancholic tone established feels remarkably mature, further elevated by immersive sound design and a captivating soundtrack.

The tension of the space battle is presented with even greater intensity, accompanied by tactical space animation that still looks stunning by 90s OVA standards.

The blend of space military tension and the series signature absurd comedy is executed with just the right balance, making for a deeply satisfying watch.

That's quite enjoyable to watch. There's tension being built, a little fan service, and action where the MC plays a key role and solves the problems. It's a cliche plot but it manages to keep us hooked until the end.

It does give off a badass aura from the Ensign character. But I was still expecting less because there's not much action that could match the MC energy in this episode. A problem occurred, his friends had a coward moment, and then the way the problem got solved. It's cliche but enjoyable to watch.

The plot was heartwarming yet heartbreaking at the same time. It involved childhood friends and a bit of flashbacks. There was no Tylor screentime in this episode. It had a steady pace, and not much happened, but it was still worth watching since it wasn’t that heavy.

There's action here but it's not that intense or anything that could make us stay hooked until the end. The romance also doesn't feel that important to show. At the end, there's like a 'High School Musical' concept and it's kinda weird. But the songs were good. Just the placement was kinda weird when there was a tragic moment at that time. Overall, not a good impression.

The humor was not for me because I felt it was kinda forced and it couldn't keep me hooked. The MC was not what I expected to solve the issues and obstacles that occurred here. There's romance involved in the middle but it doesn't develop that deeply. Bad first impression.
