Jan's opponent this time is a stark contrast to his previous ones to the point that I initially mistook Jan himself for one of the series' antagonist. His actions in this episode reminded me of what he did to Kiriko in Ep 1. His cutthroat style of cooking makes him feel less like a straightforward competitor and more like a villain, as he shows little hesitation in doing whatever it takes to win.
