EPISODE REVIEWS

Jan is so crazy🤣

Gosh amazing build up for the finale. Everything's set for the perfect closing of the show. It was tense, it was raw, everything make sense!

Episode Context

A judge-centered tournament episode that trades frantic kitchen work for close scrutiny. Jan Akiyama, Kiriko Gobancho, and Celene Yang present finished noodle dishes, and the hour is built around tasting reactions, plating, and the panel's increasingly pointed remarks. The tone shifts between spectacle, admiration, and confrontation: each chef's method earns praise for different strengths, though the episode's real interest lies in what the competition rewards beyond flavor alone. Kiriko's warmth, Celene's inventive international style, and Jan's combative confidence form a three-way clash of culinary philosophy, sharpened by Takao Okonogi and Nichido Otani on the judging side. Scores land as an emotionally charged study of pride, creativity, tradition, and the weight of being judged. Comedy surfaces in the reactions rather than the cooking.
