I usually expect these older OVAs to be pretty straightforward, but the psychological aspect with Yuumi feeling those eyes on her everywhere was actually unsettling. It makes the horror parts feel more personal than the revenge plot with the fashion designer, though seeing her go from being so arrogant to trapped in that booth was a pretty sharp contrast for one episode.

The transition from the designer yelling at her staff to being stuck naked in public was a total shock and the revenge theme is strong

The supernatural stuff with the eyes watching Yuumi in the bathroom makes the whole thing feel so much more suffocating and dark

That fashion designer getting stuck in the glass phone booth was such a weird turn for her character and the humiliation of it really stands out

The way Yuumi keeps looking over her shoulder in the shower gave me the creeps and the train scene was so brutal for a first episode

That concrete room Aoi is stuck in feels so cold and industrial and it makes the violence she faces even more depressing to watch

The voyeurism Yuumi experiences in the toilet is terrifying, especially since she can never tell if someone is actually there or if she is just losing her mind.

I found the transition from the swimming pool to the sexual world with Aki and Izumi to be surprisingly smooth and the animation stayed pretty consistent

Seeing that arrogant designer stuck naked in a public phone booth is such a specific kind of humiliation and it really showed how fast her life ruined

Izumi smelling those panties in the shower room was a total tonal shift from the earlier horror stuff and it felt strangely intimate for a second

The way Yuumi feels eyes on her in the shower after the attack made the hair on my neck stand up because the supernatural element is so subtle there

I hate how that voyeurism stuff with Yuumi feels so paranoid and creepy

My stomach turned when Aoi realized that antique box trapped her in that concrete cell, because it turned a normal day into a literal prison. The way those men keep cycling through the door makes the rape feel like an endless loop, and the gritty art style really sells how hopeless and dirty the whole situation is for her.

The supernatural vibe when Aoi opens the box makes the whole situation feel like a fever dream and the concrete room is genuinely unsettling

That phone booth scene with the designer is such a weird way to get revenge and it felt so claustrophobic

Watching that designer end up naked in a phone booth was a total shock and the show definitely knows how to make every scene feel grimy and hopeless

I really didn't expect the supernatural element to kick in so fast, but it makes the paranoia feel so much more oppressive and seeing Yuumi trying to live her life while being watched in her own bathroom by that thing was a lot and it makes me feel terrible for her after what happened on the way to school earlier in the episode

You can tell the show is going to stay dark because seeing her break down in the bathroom while that thing watched was actually sickening and completely heartbreaking

That shadow entity just sticking to her after the assault is actually terrifying and it makes you wonder if it was even a real person in the first place

I felt so uncomfortable watching Yuumi get followed by those invisible eyes after that horrible encounter on her way to school and the supernatural twist just made it way more depressing

EPISODE CONTEXT

As the first of only two episodes, this installment carries the full burden of establishment — introducing Yumi, grounding her psychological state, and building the supernatural framework the series operates within. Nothing precedes it, making every choice here foundational. Episode 2 will be expected to resolve or escalate what this episode carefully constructs, leaving virtually no room for the story to idle.
