I'm the Villainess, So I'm Taming the Final Boss
Oshimeter
Synopsis
When the crown prince publicly dumps her in front of the entire court, Aileen Lauren Dautriche is already having a bad day, but then she remembers her past life and realizes she's living inside an otome game. As the villainess. The one who dies at the end. So naturally, her survival plan is to seduce the final boss: the Demon King himself, who also happens to be her ex-fiancé's older half-brother. Romance as a tactical maneuver: that's the energy here. This is a 12-episode TV series from 2022, and what makes it work is that Aileen isn't passively trying to avoid death flags. She's charging headfirst into the most dangerous route possible, armed with game knowledge and sheer audacity. The dynamic between her and Claude is genuinely fun to watch: she's scheming and confident, he's powerful but emotionally guarded, and their interactions have this comedic romantic tension that keeps things moving. The tone stays light and comedic for the most part, with enough court intrigue and fantasy elements layered in to keep it from feeling one-note. If you liked My Next Life as a Villainess for the reincarnated-as-the-bad-guy premise but wanted a protagonist who's a bit sharper and more deliberate, this scratches that itch. Fans of The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen or Otome Game Sekai wa Mob ni Kibishii Sekai desu will find familiar ground here too, though this one leans harder into the romance side of things.

If previously this anime tend to rely on dialogue and obvious visual cues, this one is more contemplative as we see the changing dynamics between Claude and Aileen, as well as further revealed plot. What makes me love this even more is the comedic scenes!! Oh, it's so refreshing
Compared to the previous episodes in this arc, there are more questions being answered in this one. You can see who's the villain and the potential plot in the remaining episodes. The post-accident relationship between Claude and Aileen gets more intriguing as well
There are plenty of layers in this episode, and it's so intriguing to see the twists come from various aspects. I'm not recovered yet from the previous plot, and now this??!!! I feel like I can speculate a lot but I know this anime will throw me more and more twists 🥹🥹
Ok who would've thought that there will be bigger stake than just Aileen's identity and demon-human conflict at the academy?! The twist is truly unbelievable, and set a more intriguing plot in the next episode. Also, pay attention to minor details—plenty of easter eggs here!!
Despite the intensity of this ep (and the whole arc), I am genuinely entertained with the level of comedy here. However, the pace significantly goes slower compared to the previous one, probably due to the silly scenes inserted frequently. Regardless, this one is still a great ep
Plenty of bombshells here, and that makes this episode more intriguing to follow. There are some plot twists as well, especially at the end, so definitely don't skip this. However, I'm impressed that it still has some comedies here and there as well. My favorite so far!!
In just 5 episodes, you're introduced to a new arc, so this one is perfect for anyone favors anime with fast pace. Beyond that, it's refreshing to see different setting with plenty of new characters, but without losing the core of the main plot. Be ready for surprising facts here
What a satisfying ending. Everything wraps up so beautifully, problems solved and the story reaches a great resolution. Despite her despicable behaviour, Lilia is one hell of a well written antagonist! Aileen is a force to be reckoned with, love to see characters like her! Utterly obsessed!! 10/10
We’re almost reaching the plots climax, and more issues seem to come. Seeing our Aileen go through so much is really heartbreaking. As the show comes to an end, more plot twists emerge that will make your heart racing.
Aileen has such strong will. The entire episode you can see that she’s trying her best to handle the oncoming problems, but her will never wavered (maybe a little). So heartbreaking seeing the whole situation with Aileen and Claude. I hope everything resolves soon.
I don’t think I have ever resented a character as much as I do with Lilia— I need her goneee seriously. This anime truly has plot twists in every episode and it keeps you hooked. Problems keeps arising for Aileen but never once did she give up.
I thought the last episode had a good plot twist, this one had me truly GAGGEDDD. My jaw was on the floor! Problems were solved pretty smoothly, despite Aileen having trouble keeping her identity a secret. All was worth it in the end. UGH the loyalty between Aileen and Claude😭🤍
