In my opinion, this episode is worth watching because the exam battle showcases the abilities of some of the main characters, which will be explored further in future stories.

Un episodio con algo de acción, teniendo en cuenta que la animación de este anime no está hecha para secuencias muy movidas esta bien hecho. También este episodio nos deja ver las habilidades y potencial de los personajes principales, resultando entretenido y dando un descanso del romance.

Every brief scene of Ralaire was honestly so adorable, even though it doesn't even do anything, they've quickly become one of my favorite in this anime lol. I also liked how this episode showed more scenes of the characters using their magical abilities. Some of the visual effects looked pretty, especially how each visual effect from each magical ability were vibrantly shaded. The last few scenes of what Rei did to Claire during the knight exam was so silly and adorable.

Episode Context

Sitting at the near-midpoint of a 12-episode season, Episode 5 pivots from the social and political tensions of earlier episodes into a structured proving ground that redefines how Rae and Claire relate to each other under pressure. The challenges faced in Episode 4 set the emotional groundwork, and the knight exams here crystallize those stakes into direct confrontation. This episode establishes key power dynamics and relationship shifts that the back half of the season will build on significantly.
