I'm a Witch Who's Crush Requested a Love Potion
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Rose is a young witch living alone in a cozy cottage by a lake, brewing potions and minding her own business. She's got one weakness though — a knight named Sir Harij Azm she's been quietly pining over for four years. Then one day, Harij actually shows up at her door. Great, right? Except he's there to ask her to make a love potion. For someone else. Yeah. So now Rose is stuck in this incredibly specific kind of heartbreak where the person you like is literally asking you to help them win over another woman. But instead of turning him away, she agrees — and then starts sending him on increasingly elaborate fetch quests for rare ingredients, which conveniently means he has to keep coming back to see her. It's a slow-burn setup where every visit pulls them a little closer together, and Rose has to wrestle with whether she's being clever or just torturing herself. The whole thing has this gentle, lived-in fantasy atmosphere — think the cozy magic of The Ancient Magus' Bride mixed with the warmth of Snow White with the Red Hair. If you liked the quiet romantic tension in Spice and Wolf, this hits a similar note but with a more fairy-tale quality to it. It's a josei light novel adaptation, so expect emotional nuance over action. The premise alone is enough to make you feel for Rose, and honestly, that's a good sign for where this is headed.
