Hyperventilation Special
Oshimeter
Synopsis
For Lee Myeongyi, a collapsed lung means that every coughing fit, every loud bout of hyperventilation in a quiet classroom, reminds everyone around him that he's different — a reality he knows all too well. He's used to the stares — some pitying, some annoyed — and has quietly accepted that high school means feeling like a permanent outsider. Then there's Han Seonho, the class president, who doesn't look at Myeongyi like he's a problem to be managed or ignored. He just... treats him like a person. That small shift is where this story lives. Based on a Korean webtoon and animated by ABJ Company, this one-episode Boys Love special is short but unhurried — it takes its time sitting with Myeongyi's loneliness before letting anything warmer through. The tone is quiet and introspective, less about dramatic confessions and more about the emotional weight of being seen by someone when you've gotten used to invisibility. If you liked the slow-burn emotional build of Partner's Territory or the intimate character focus in No Love Zone, this scratches a similar itch. It's not flashy. It won't take up much of your evening. But if you're in the mood for something that feels genuinely tender without overselling it, Hyperventilation Special is worth the hour.
