📖 SYNOPSIS

"Ai no Kusabi" unfolds on Amoi, a planet governed by the supercomputer Jupiter. Society is rigidly stratified, with the light-haired elite holding power over the dark-haired "mongrels." The elite are permitted to keep mongrels as temporary pets, a practice that reinforces the social hierarchy. Iason, an elite member, discovers Riki, a mongrel, in the slums and chooses to take him in. Unlike the norm, Iason keeps Riki for an extended period, defying the established social customs. This unusual arrangement fuels speculation and whispers about the nature of their relationship, challenging the norms of their society and hinting at deeper complexities within the power dynamics of Amoi. The story explores themes of power, control, and the potential for connection across societal divides.
