This is the episode that put a romance genre in this anime. The story started out wholesome, yet it ended in a complicated manner. What Fukube did was in poor taste and thankfully Oreki was quite patient with him. It’s a good thing that Ibara knows Fukube really well and explained everything to Chitanda otherwise it would have ended on a bad note. I would have called Fukube a wuss if he didn't call Ibara at the end though 😤

What a complicated love story. Like, come on, buddy—what’s so bad about committing? Never mind that, what frustrates me the most is how things escalated so badly that someone unrelated ended up getting hurt. That said, I can still understand Satoshi’s thoughts—I just don't agree.

Best ep! Finally, there were bits of romance in the air. Not quite expected because the entire series showed no interest and was more on mystery games. The plot and character development skyrocketed. The pacing was just perfect! Fukube finally shares his thoughts and emotions.
