Hyouka Episode 20: Mishap-py New Year

There are quite a lot of classic tropes in this episode such as hatsumode, a “couple” getting trapped in an enclosed space and of course don't forget about kimonos and miko. Chitanda’s kimono looks beautiful, she looked elegant and refined wearing it. There's quite a clash of norms between Chitanda and Oreki which was quite fun to watch. The trust between Oreki and Fukube is definitely bro goals.

What a fun episode! I really like how they used the concept here. Kudos to Satoshi for grasping the meaning. That said, we all know why Oreki accepted that invitation, heh. I also laughed out loud when he got pranked—even someone like him can get scared sometimes, huh?

A long-awaited, heart-fluttering episode. This was more refreshing and interesting to watch since their summer break hot spring escapade. Oreki and Chitanda made a couple of interactions, but this one was by far the greatest. Cinematic visuals and animation were well-executed.
