Episode Context

Named after a specific character, this episode leans into Hyakki Yakoushou's signature format, an intimate, self-contained supernatural encounter wrapped in quiet dread and emotional undercurrent. The title's reference to Blindman's Buff, a game rooted in disorientation and hidden truths, signals an episode built around perception, vulnerability, and something unseen closing in. Expect the measured, melancholic pacing the series is known for, where horror never shouts but accumulates. Ritsu and Blue Storm anchor the atmosphere as they engage with whatever surrounds Kinuyo Arakawa, blending the show's recurring tension between the human and the uncanny. Romance and unease coexist here, as they often do in this world.
