A good final chapter for the first part of the York New arc. Besides its intense fights, what stands out most is how it addresses the sense of unease and depression that Kurapika feels due to the decisions he has made throughout the series.

Episode Context

As episode 62 of 62, this is the definitive conclusion of the original Hunter x Hunter anime adaptation, wrapping up the Yorknew City arc's central conflict between Kurapika and the Phantom Troupe. It follows the escalating confrontations and Zoldyck family involvement from the preceding episodes, bringing the strategic cat-and-mouse game to its endpoint. While the manga continues well beyond this point, this episode serves as the final statement of this particular adaptation, closing out the character dynamics it spent the arc establishing.
