Episode Context

As episode 61 of 62, this is the penultimate chapter of the original Hunter x Hunter series, arriving at the climax of the Yorknew City arc's central conflict between the Phantom Troupe and the Mafia. The previous episode saw Gon and Killua narrowly escape Nobunaga while the Mafia enlisted the legendary Zoldyck family as their countermeasure against the Troupe. This episode escalates that powder keg into open warfare, positioning all major players for whatever resolution the final episode delivers.
