Episode Context

Sitting just three episodes into a 62-episode run, this installment bridges the initial introductions of Gon, Leorio, and Kurapika with the Hunter Exam proper, the journey itself becomes the first real test. Episode 2 brought the trio together; this episode pressure-tests that fragile alliance and deepens each character's backstory before the exam's gauntlet begins. It's essential groundwork that makes the challenges ahead hit harder.
