This episode is a direct hit at fan culture and the creative industry. I was dying seeing Y, Watashi’s old friend, completely consumed by her obsession with finding and creating "forbidden" material; her level of intensity in ignoring common sense is pure genius. It’s amazing how they make something as niche as the world of self-published manga feel like a deep dive into any modern obsession.

I should really emphasize the non-linear story. If you prefer a story that is interrelated per arc, then this anime is not for you. I'm at episode 5 now, but the confusion is not going away. The pacing is awfully slow as well. 6/10
