Episode Context

Sitting one episode before the season finale, this continues the solo journey arc that began when Takemoto impulsively left on his bicycle trip, representing the emotional climax of his season-long struggle with direction and self-worth. The previous episode established his connection with the temple crew after his bike broke down, and this deepens that experience into something transformative. It directly sets the stage for the finale, where Takemoto must decide what he's actually riding toward, and whether he's ready to return.
