EPISODE REVIEWS

The action scenes in this episode so far is good. However I just wish they explore more on the villain's motives and how they clash with the MC and what they actually want. So far the antagonists does not peek my interest except for one of them which is the pink-haired girl as she seems to have more energy and distinct characteristics than the others. We understand more about Zhang Chulan's past as well but so far his past is not very interesting to me as he seems lacking in motivation to take down his enemies who were desecrating his grandfather's grave.

It was a chaotic episode but the scenes were action-packed. Truly, Houhou was Mikasa in real life and in different worlds. The tone was thrilling yet Soran's exaggerated expressions were hilarious. The pacing was slow as the action subsided. The backstory of power was getting repetitive, though.

This time, we're treated to some epic action scenes. It’s fascinating to see how an impromptu plan can backfire yet still reinforce the central themes. The flashbacks to Chulan and his grandfather's past never fail to leave me spellbound. There’s always a valuable life lesson to be learned from their story. The story is spiced up with a touch of Houhou’s stiff yet funny humour. The ending leaves a profound impression, too.
