EPISODE REVIEWS

This episode sums up what motivates Fuu HouHou and how much Zhang Chulan actually meant to her as well. Even though there is no fighting scenes in this episode, I like how it delve into Fuu HouHou's past and explain how she came to be someone with such mysterious aura around her. Hopefully the story's pace can improve for next season!

This episode was indeed a peak ending! The mystery surrounding the entire series was a major plot twist. The backstory was masterfully written and the mood was emotional. Houhou's past was so miserable that it was hard to watch. The building of the interlocking plot points had slowly connected, but the main character would have the final key.

The action sequences and mystery are challenging, but they pull it off. The pacing is easy for the audience to follow as it is presented without any unnecessary fluff. The conflict provides a coherent explanation of the characters abilities. Here, Houhou’s tenacity truly leaves a lasting impression. The requests and promises made are profound, leaving me wondering what the next season will bring. For a seinen story, it's pretty cool.
