That first second of this episode gives me a heart attack, it's a startling start. Lore-heavy episode, and we're being introduced to a new character. What a plot twist right in episode two. This is the episode where they are now wary.

This episode slowly starts to piece together where it all comes from. Lots of dialogue with a soundtrack that actually gives you goosebumps, and the story never feels boring. So many things start to make you question stuff and this is only episode two

The op and ed are perfectly matched with the horror theme. Hinamizawa villagers hold a special bond with their village. The narrative is mysterious. What it explains plot-pointers is the thing I like most about this episode. The pace is slow, but the flow catches on quickly.
