Ngl, just a good slice of life OVA for the girls. All of them are just vibing and doing their own thing away from the constant tension of the battlefield.
Although it doesn’t push the overall story forward, it makes up for this as a charming side story that would be appreciated by fans of the series. This episode leans more into character bonding instead of high stakes action. There’s a great amount of humour and teamwork, showcasing the girls personalities. Overall it’s a low pressure and fun episode, highlighting good character moments.
OVA 1 of High School Fleet trades naval warfare for emotional tension, focusing on Kouko’s fear of losing the Harekaze family. The comedy feels natural, the character chemistry shines, and the quieter slice-of-life vibe gives the crew more emotional depth and charm. Definitely a cute and charming anime!
